New Work, New Path - A Lenormand Reading
A client just started a new job and is already unhappy with how things are going. He notices that everybody puts in a lot of extra hours which does not reflect efficiency. He was put into this new position to bring about some change in their operations but is afraid that he will be sucked into the overworking vortex that does not produce anything of value. He wanted to know if he would be able to beat down his path there and find a way to do satisfying work, if not for the entire team, then at least for himself.
For this, I decided to pull a 9-card spread with a Lenormand deck. In all honesty, any deck does the trick, but Lenormand decks seem to possess a certain visual ‘plasticity’ that resonates well with clients. And I cannot blame them for that - when it’s right, it’s right.
It is always nice when a significator decides to show his face in a reading that requires agency dynamics to come to light. What we immediately see in the querent’s ‘head’ is the confirmation of the situation and the querent’s current state of mind: he went in head-strong and engaged in work that he would immediately want to change or simply fly away from (Rider - Ring - Stork). His primary fear is reflected right in the center: his new place of business may be reputable, but it is also that much more traditional, ergo, not easily prone to change (Man - Lilly - Tower). Nevertheless, he has a few good things going for him: a clear path toward success in his sight, and someone friendly enough to help him realize it (Stars - Sun - Dog).
I remind my client of his primary inspiration to take on this adventure: he saw it as a good way to give a boost to his career, laying down a new shiny path towards success (Rider - Man - Stars). And if he hangs in there, holding on to his commitment, success will become clear (Ring - Lilly - Sun). Most importantly, the company can see a change, and he will get a helping hand in making this change happen, most likely from a female coworker who would be well-invested in the issue (Stork - Tower - Dog).
A change that needs to take place may be gradual, but there is a clear path for it, providing that my client shows patience for it (Stork - Lilly - Stars). The initial rush may need to be paced down (Rider - Lilly), but the realization of the initial goal will be reached with a helping hand from within the company (Dog modified by Tower). To sum it all up, my client will be able to beat down a new path for himself there, and not just for himself, but he will be able to take others along if he only remembers to exercise patience.
