The Uncrossed Path Manifesto

The art of cartomancy must be rooted in perfection — the perfection of words, and the perfection of the act. Everything else is not worth my time.

When we talk about perfection in the cartomantic context, we talk about a clarity-driven act of translating a visual text into divinatory statements. A cartomancer worth their salt needs to be able to ground their reading in the moment itself and work only with what is on the table: the cards, and the question. Everything else falls into the water: endless lists of ‘secret’ meanings, the grandmothers and teachers, New Age fads, and all other baseless pretensions. The Uncrossed Path is named so because it stands for a divinatory practice that is ‘uncrossed’ from all these empty declarations. It is freed from the stale clutter to be able to do what it is supposed to do: provide a worthwhile answer to a question.

In my long fortunetelling practice, I realized that I cannot afford to waste my, or my client’s time on stories of my knowledgeable and powerful ancestors, or meanings that were transmitted in secret, simply because all of it is worthless if it has little or nothing to do with what is being put on the table in front of me. As my only intention is to deliver perfection for both myself and the querent, I do away with all the stories I tell about myself and provide clear, precise, and rooted-in-the-moment reading, which, above all, acknowledges the one posing the question.

Within the walls of this fortunetelling salon, the misguided demons of weak and uncalled-for mystifications are forever banished. In that name, may all our paths be forever uncrossed.
